To the Families of the Greater Wenatchee Community:
Good news! There is exceptional home help/care to be found in our neighboring counties. As a nurse by profession, a legal guardian and caregiver for an infirmed family member by choice, and a former business owner by design, I am delighted and reassured to be able to shout this from the roof tops.
Due to the exceptional personal care and company management provided by Wenatchee's Columbia River Home Care, I am able to keep a loved one in my home who would otherwise be admitted to a Long Term Care facility. Anyone, who has ever been faced with this heart-rending need and decision process, knows what a pot-of-gold find this is. Peace of mind can be found in this otherwise turbulent and tenuous juncture of family life and responsibility. A win/win solution has finally arrived!
As a nurse, I am impressed (not easily done) with the professional abilities and caring attitudes of Columbia River's staff. As a care-giving family member, I am comforted to have both the functional and moral support that is needed to deliver home-based, individually appropriate help for my loved one. As a person savvy in the all consuming demands, expense, and frustrations inherent in being an employer, I am relieved that someone else is willing and able to do this for me. After all, I want this special family time - that is always in short supply - to be full of memories more gratifying than job interviews, back-ground checks, time cards, withholding tax, and sick calls.
And, a special thank you to Columbia River's owner, Cari Helvey. She has created an entity/agency that is rare among this generation's business and health care mind-set. Profit is not her bottom line and driving force. She understands what genuine customer service is, and her personal priorities and integrity make it a reality for her clients. Seven days a week, for 1 hour or 24, she is proficient in providing for their needs, on their terms, at their convenience. Unlike the sadly growing norm - lip service - she is delivering tangible and affordable excellence to the consumer.
Sincerely, and then some,
Gemey (Mrs. Mark) Patterson
